As a form of gratitude and obedience to Allah, a large family of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Universitas Brawijaya (FMIPA-UB) held a slaughter of 2 cows and distribution of sacrificial meat in order to celebrate Eid al-Adha 1439H. The activity was centered in front of the Mushola Nurul Ilmu, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Thursday (23/8).

Sacrificial meat is distributed through coupons that can be exchanged for sacrificial meat. A total of 200 coupons were distributed to the large family of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences including retirees and residents around the campus. The sacrifice activity was coordinated by Sukir Maryanto, M.Sc., Ph.D as the Deputy Dean II of General and Financial Affairs and the Head of Public Administration, Sukarman, SH followed by other unit leaders.

Besides the distribution of sacrificial meat that has been routinely carried out, this time the vice dean II of FMIPA launched a new program, namely friendship and compensation to the retired home of the teaching staff of the MIPA Faculty. Seven ex-staff of FMIPA visited were Ruliyati, Lilik Rukmi Hartati, Paikin, Suyono, Kiswandi, Ismanu, and Nidom Fikri.

“Thank you very much, I am very happy to be visited, hopefully this attention and friendship can continue” said Lilik, former library staff at FMIPA.

In addition to increasing faith and devotion to Allah SWT, this routine is expected to strengthen the relationship between the big family of FMIPA, retirees and surrounding residents. Because, Eid al-Adha besides increasing devotion also has a high social meaning. [yogie]
