Dean of FMIPA UB signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the University of North Sumatra (USU)

Thursday (12/12), Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Universitas Brawijaya (FMIPA UB) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the University of North Sumatra (USU). This activity was carried out to establish cooperation as well as to improve the quality of education between the two agencies.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Dean of FMIPA UB, Prof. Drs. Adi Susilo, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Saharman Gea, M.Sc., Ph.D Vice Dean III for Student Affairs representing the leadership of USU’s FMIPA. The arrival of Saharman Gea and his team included Dr. T.Alief Aththorick, S.Sc., M.Sc (WD III expert staff), Lely Ratnawati, ST (Head of Cooperation and Information Subdivision), Alberto Tondang, S.Kom (WD III Staff), and Novita Sari Dewi Bangun, SE (WDIII staff) carry out collaborative missions in several fields such as student and staff exchanges, as well as research collaboration and several other clauses.






Vice Dean III USU’s Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences said that the desire for such cooperation was to encourage the science of piping in Indonesia, especially the two related parties.

“We welcome this collaboration and hopefully it can be immediately followed up with various activities involving the two Universities,” said the Dean of FMIPA UB.

One of the motivations for USU’s FMIPA to invite cooperation is that Universitas Brawijaya is known for good management of journals at the national level. “We want to study”, Said Saharman Gea.

The activity was continued with discussion about academic activities in FMIPA UB. Vice Dean I FMIPA, Dr. Serafinah Indriyani, M.Si. explained the preparation of Fast Track planned by UB for the acceleration of the Doctoral Program. While Vise Dean II FMIPA UB, Prof. Sukir Maryanto, S.Si., M.Sc, Ph.D. provides an overview of the plan to accept PhD students from the Research track. The event closed with the signing of the MOU and the awarding of souvenirs and a group photo session (Yogie).
