The visit which consisted of 15 people was motivated by successive achievements achieved by FMIPA UB in the national and international level student affairs event some time ago. Led by Vice Dean III, Dr. Sifak Indana, M.Pd, along with student advisers from each study program at FMIPA UNESA, expressed appreciation for the achievements of FMIPA UB in guiding students to compete in regional, national and international level.
This visit intends to cooperate in terms of student counseling guidance. Present as the supervisor of ONMIPA, Drs. Mohammad Misbah Khunur, M.Sc and Drs. Danar Purwonugroho, M.Si explained the strategies and obstacles in developing students’ interest in talent since the beginning of the lecture. According to him, there are similarities in the obstacles faced by the current student counselors namely the level of motivation and student interest in student competition. The difficulty of finding superior seeds is a significant obstacle in finding prospective champions. Besides that, finding competent supervisors in their fields also becomes a significant obstacle.
“Our constraints are the same, student interest is very lacking, unless there are students who have received national training, then it is easy to guide them”. said Danar.
In his remarks, Vice Dean III, Darjito, S.Sc., M.Sc, explained the scope of student affairs from international, regional, national, regional and institutional levels in FMIPA UB. He explained that in conducting coaching it must be realized that the institution was investing for the development of student reasoning. Patience is needed in practice in the field. Wadek III FMIPA also hopes to collaborate with FMIPA UNESA in the future in student coaching so that the achievements of each institution increase (yogie).
